Seminars at Manchester 2012
The heating and plumbing industry is changing rapidly, and whether it’s the opportunities provided by the emerging renewable energy sector, or tightening legislation and Building Regulations, it can be difficult for plumbers and installers to keep up to date.
Every PHEX Plumbing & Heating Exhibition gives you the chance to find out about these important changes all under one roof. Seminar sessions will run regularly during every two-day PHEX exhibition, providing guidance on key issues that affect the entire industry.
Each session will also allow visitors to have their own questions answered, encouraging lively debates that get to the heart of what plumbing and heating engineers really want to know.
We are currently working hard to make sure the Seminar schedule taking place during PHEX Manchester offers maximum benefit to our visitors.
The Heating & Hot Water Industry Council provides installers with an overview of the latest new legislation and technical issues in the domestic heating and hotwater sector. This will include:
- Building Regulations
- The Green Deal, Renewable Heat Incentive and Feed-in Tariffs
- Standard Assessment Procedures
- The European Eco Design legislation for boilers, microCHP and heat pumps.
Gas Safe Register will set out exactly what role the Register has to play in the industry, and will provide updates on key industry issues.
The Register will be talking about the setting of competence standards, and the technical bulletin regarding flues concealed within voids.
The Investigations Team will reveal what it is doing to crack down on illegal gas workers, and updates will be provided about plans for this year’s Gas Safety Week.
The seminars will provide insight into the benefits and free tools that Gas Safe registration can offer, giving engineers the chance to meet with the team and ask questions.
